Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get Chunkmapper at 1:1 scale?

Chunkmapper scale is 30:1, one block in Minecraft is 30 metres in real life.  There are no current plans to include 1:1 scale however this may change in the future.

How big are Chunkmapper maps?

When you first create a Chunkmapper map it generates 7 by 7 chunks (3584 by 3584 minecraft blocks).  As you move in Minecraft it keeps adding more blocks around you so that the world is unlimited in size.  The only restriction is that you cannot cross the North or South Poles and the International Date Line.

What is Chunkmapper's map projection?

Chunkmapper uses simple equirectangular projection which means that latitude and longitude form straight lines.  If you get lost in Minecraft look up at the sky and remember that the sun and clouds move from east to west.
